Process Outline (short)
- Screen / Sand Trap — remove coarse solids.
- Aeration / Oxidation — convert soluble Fe(II) to particulate Fe(III) using atmospheric aeration or chemical oxidant (hypochlorite / permanganate) if needed.
- Coagulation (optional) — in high turbidity feeds.
- Media Filter — GreensandPlus / catalytic manganese oxide media / birm to remove oxidized iron & manganese.
- Automatic Backwash — timed or differential pressure triggered, with waste valve and drain.
- Polishing — cartridge filter / activated carbon (if organics) + pH correction.
