Process summary: Raw sewage → Bar screen & O&G → Collection / Equalization (disc diffusers) → Raw sewage transfer pump → Aeration + MBR Module (submerged UF membranes with air scour) → Permeate to Clarified/Permeate Tank → Optional PSF/ACF → Disinfection → Final Treated Water Tank.

MBR Membrane Notes

  • Membrane Type: Submerged hollow-fiber UF (or flat-sheet depending on vendor)
  • Permeate quality: Very low TSS & bacteria — useful for flushing & higher reuse
  • Air scour: Blower provides aeration and membrane scouring to reduce fouling
  • CIP: Periodic chemical cleaning required based on fouling rate

Process Flow (MBR)

1. Bar screen & O&G trap → Collection / EQ (disc diffusers)
2. Raw sewage transfer pump (cutter pump optional) → Aeration + MBR submerged membrane module (biological treatment + membrane separation)
3. Permeate pumped to Permeate/Polish tank → Optional PSF/ACF → Hypo/UV → Final Treated Water Tank.
4. Concentrate / sludge wasted to sludge holding and dewatered.
